Network

How the Gaisar network is put together.

Gaisar builds layered network infrastructure that runs from a customer access point through to international interconnection, carried over fiber optic and wireless media.

01Network layers

Four layers working in sequence.

Each layer plays a different role. Customers typically touch the first and second layers, while the third and fourth determine how data travels further.

  1. L1

    Customer access

The first point where the network meets a customer, for broadband and dedicated services alike.

    • Fiber optic & wireless access network
    • Broadband and dedicated services
    • Households through to corporates
  2. L2

    Innercity

Interconnection inside one city, linking several operational points within the same area.

    • Links sites within a city
    • Foundation for VPN services
    • Reduces reliance on the public network
  3. L3

    Intercity

Interconnection between cities, letting data move across Gaisar service regions.

    • Links offices across cities
    • Part of the national network
    • Supports multi-site operations
  4. L4

    International

International interconnection for organisations that need to reach outside Indonesia.

    • Reach beyond Indonesia
    • For cross-border partners and offices
    • Completes the other interconnection schemes

02Network

From a single access point to cross-border networks.

The Gaisar network is layered. Each layer adds reach and resilience, so service holds up as an organisation’s requirements grow.

03Our responsibility

What we do once the network is live.

  1. 01

    Continuous monitoring

Service condition is monitored so that declining performance is detected before it becomes an outage.

  2. 02

    Scheduled maintenance

Devices and paths are maintained on schedule and by technical life, including critical assets.

  3. 03

    Fault handling

Faults are handled through a single technical contact, without splitting responsibility between parties.

  4. 04

    Capacity planning

Network capacity is reviewed as customer usage grows.
